Organisation: Final Filming Dates

Due to not having my own camera, I have to borrow a camera from my friend but I am only able to film over the Christmas holidays so I am having to change my dates one more time. These will be the final dates for filming.

This will be my filming of the scene at the lickey hills. This is one of the longest scenes in the film trailer as it is where you see the antagonist Logan stab one of the gang members.

Organisation: Editing Software

To make sure that my film trailer is going to be looking like an actual film trailer, I have downloaded this app as I can add extra sounds, dialogues and intertitles to my filming. I also wanted to use a software that I knew how to film as I have used this software to edit a short film called Monday (in a previous film) and I learnt how to use the application.
Similarly, I have to also create a film poster and a film magazine front cover so to help me create these, I'm going to be using the Page Plus software as it is familar to me as I used this to create my A2 coursework magazine.

Organisation: Characterisation

I have decided to create a characterisation of one of my main characters Robyn who is the main antagonists little sister who is murdered by a gang as a warning to Logan.

As you can see from her physical description, Robyn is:

• Short - which makes her seem to be weak, innocent and vulnerable
• Brown Hair

The backstory of Logan is:

• She had a bad childhood
• She was a good child who always tried to stay out of trouble
• She had no family but Logan
• Her mum was dead and her dad left when they were young
• Her brother had joined a gang
• She is murdered due to her brothers involement in the gang

I have decided to create a characterisation of my main character Logan who is the serial killer as he goes after the members of the gang who kills his younger sister Robyn.

As you can see from his physical description, Logan is:

• Tall - This makes him stand out in the crowd but also could show him to be quite intimidating
• Brown Hair

• He was a troubled kid
• He had no family but Robyn
• His mum was dead and his dad left when they were young
• He had joined a gang
• He was determined to leave the gang and start a new life but they keep texting and calling to meet him 
• He ignores the texts and messages until one day he returns home and they have killed Robyn

Organisation: Filming Dates

Due to snow and ice, I have had to change the dates of my filming schedule so the dates of filming will now be:

Friday (15th) - 1 scene in Northfield
Sunday (17th) - 2 scenes in Lickey Hills and My house (Catshill)
Tuesday (19th) - 2 scenes at school (small room)
Wednesday (20th) - 1 scene in Rubery

The reason that I chose to move my film dates was because of the safety of my actors on the snow and ice

At this point in time with my deadline, for all my filming having to be done, so close, these four dates will be plenty to get the scenes done that I need to film. On Sunday (10th), I will be filming at the Lickey hills then at my house in Catshill. On Tuesday I have two scenes to film in school.On Wednesday I have a scene to film in rubery and On Friday I have my last scene to film in North field. My actors have all agreed to these dates. However looking at the forecast for Sunday and Tuesday, these dates may be subject to change as the west midlands is due to have a heavy snowfall and because of risks to my actors with the ice and snow it might not be possible to film on some dates in these locations.

This is my final script version of my film trailer and so all of my actors will be given a script to learn their lines. They don't have much to say so it will be easy to learn.

Organisation: Script editing

I discussed my script with two of my actors, Luke and Charlie, as well as my teacher who came up with some minor suggestions to change my script. I was only given two real things to change as I need to add some inter-titles to break up my film trailer and the title of my film due to the fact that it doesn't sound very much like a horror or thriller film. I also fixed the spelling and punctuation mistakes that I made. I also added a little bit to the third scene.

I like these inter-titles that my teacher suggested as it gives a countdown of the gang members as they get either stalked or murdered

The title was "Midnight Tolls" but it didn't match the horror and thriller genre so I decided to change the title to "HALLOWEEN RETRIBUTION" or "WINTER'S REVENGE"

The spelling mistakes have been corrected 

This shows the addition of another part of the third scene where it highlights the main character Logan as a stalker as he is following the gang members on facebook and the pictures in the profiles are going to be from strange angles that look like Logan has been stalking them. This page also shows the new inter-titles - "Her death will be avenged" and "3" "2" "1" as scenes come up with the different gang members.

This is my first version of my script overall I am quite happy with my script as it includes some elements of a cliffhanger which is significant to a horror film trailer as well as using elements of weapon like a knife.

Organisation: Location

Location #1 - Northfield high street

This will be a flashback scene which is used to show the relationship between Logan and Robyn as brother and sister. This also is the first time you see an interaction between Logan and the gang who kill Robyn.

Location #2 - Street and House

This will be the scene that Logan finds Robyn dead on the floor.  This will just be a normal house and street where Logan and Robyn live in with their family.

Location #3 - Small white room

This room will be Logan's room. He will be pinning up profiles around a clock showing how he has been stalking and watching the killers of his sister.

Location #4 - Subway/Alleyway

This will show Logan stalking one of the killers

Location #5 - Lickey hills

This is the main scene as it involves a murder

This is the scene after the titles come up which is where an alarm clock rings and a hand slams on top of it which signals a murder has happened.
